Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire - some of the great gardens in the home counties - Ascott, Chenies Manor House, Claydon House, Clivedon, The Swiss Garden and Waddesdon Manor


Bloomsbury Set in Sussex - visit the gardens where famous sisters Vanessa Bell and Virginia Woolf lived, Charleston Farmhouse and Monk's House, both within a stone's throw of Lewes.

Bluebells in Surrey and Sussex - If you want to walk through an ocean of bluebells, head for Ramster in Surrey, or the Himalayan River Garden (formerly Riverhill House), alternatively visit High Beeches and the Arlington Bluebell Walk in Sussex.

Kent - great gardens to enjoy with the kids. Hever Castle, Groombridge Place and Penshurst Place - all in full bloom in the springtime, but with plenty to entertain adults and children throughout the seasons.

Florida's Treasure Coast - Botanical gardens at Fort Pierce and Vero Beach; a hidden garden full of palms in Melbourne and Harry P. Leu Gardens in Orlando, which provide a 50-acre respite from frenetic theme park mayhem.
